The No. 1 seeded Kentucky Wildcats roll past the No. 3 seeded Baylor Bears to New Orleans

I really thought that this would be a closer game since both sides boasted NBA talent. The problem was that Kentucky was just a step ahead in almost every aspect of the game. Baylor could compete with Kentucky on the glass, but they fouled too much, giving the Wildcats 44 free throw attempts. Kentucky ran out to a 42-22 halftime lead and really could've cut the nets down right then, but they won the game 82-70 instead. The true difference between these two teams is that when Baylor plays, you notice they have three solid NBA prospects who can take over the game, just not as a team. Kentucky, on the other hand, has a starting five that has the potential to get drafted in the first round of the draft, but they also play as a team. If Kentucky can keep this run going with a balanced attack from every position and if Anthony Davis is healthy, it will be extremely tough to stop them.

Kansas hands Baylor their first loss, 92-74

It wa sonly a matter of time till Baylor would experience their first loss, and they saw it coming. Travelling to Kansas and playing during the Rock Chalk Chant is never easy and it's even harder to come away with the win against the team that has won every Big 12 title since 2002. The main match-up in the game was Baylor's Perry Jones III against the Jayhawk's Thomas Robinson. The two made the game interesting in the early stages, but Jones rolled his ankle and the Bear were pushed away from their inside game. Kansas took advantage and built a lead that the number 3 team in the country could never overcome.

Baylor survives an Alamo shootout, beat Washington 67-56

RG3 didn't put up the stellar stats that we've grown accustomed to see, but he got plenty of support from his teammates. Baylor RB Terrance Ganaway scored 5 TDs as the Bears' offense rolled all night. Keith Price and Chris Polk of Washington didn't go with a whimper, instead they matched every punch Baylor threw at them. Many people thought Baylor would rout the Huskies, which they did on an offensive standpoint, but the Huskies' Price led the Washington offense through the air by throwing 438 yards and 4 TDs. When the score was 60-56, Baylor finally came up with a defensive stop on fourth down to contain the Huskies. When Baylor tried to run the clock down, Ganaway ran for a TD. The Washington offense was stellar as Price outperformed Griffin III, but the defensive struggles of the Dawgs proved to be too great.

Baylor remains undefeated, beat West Virginia 83-81 OT

The Baylor Bears survived a tough road test against West Virginia, but it took an overtime to finish the Mountaineers. Baylor was picked to do well in preseason polls, but a number of unimpressive wins prevented the team from joining the likes of dominant teams. The test against West Virginia was key for the Bears to move forward, but it didn't come easy. A solid performance by Pierre Jackson was key since a Perry Jones III had a quiet night. Baylor had a seven point lead at the half, but West Virginia came back to tie. Baylor would finish the Mountaineers to improve to 12-0 with a win against a Big East team.

Baylor upsets Oklahoma, 45-38

RG3 and the Baylor Bears upset the #5 Oklahoma Sooners as Bob Stoop's team was eliminated from National Championship contention Saturday night. Landry Jones was outperformed by a new Heisman contender, Robert Griffin III. Griffin threw for 479 yards and four touchdowns, including a 34-yarder to Terrance Williams with 8 seconds left. The upset in Waco delivered a huge blow to the Sooners as they drop to 8-2 and Baylor goes to 7-3.

Baylor ousts 14th ranked TCU in a shootout

Robert Griffin III went 21-27 with 359 yards and 5 TDs as the Baylor Bears shocked the 14th ranked TCU Horned Frogs in a 50-48 upset. The game proved to be an exciting shootout as Griffin III, Kendall Wright, and TCU's Casey Pachall threw for a total of 10 TDs in the game. RG3 led Baylor to a 47-23 lead at the start of the 4th quarter, but Pachall would start a TCU rally as they scored 25 unanswered points to take a brief 48-47 lead with 4 minutes 31 seconds left in the game. Griffin III would lead Baylor on the ensuing drive to set up the go-ahead 37 yard field goal. This is Baylor's first victory over a ranked team since beating 16th ranked Texas A&M seven years ago so you can bet they'll be partying in Waco. As for TCU, the Horned Frogs will not go to a BCS bowl this year after two consecutive berths.
