Diamonbacks clinch the NL West

Chris Young caught the pop-up hit by Aubrey Huff and Chase Field went crazy as fireworks went off and the words "NL West Champions" appeared on the jumbotron. Arizona had finally capped off their improbable season after a poor 65-97 season last year to winning the NL West tonight. After a 1-0 deficit, Chris Young doubled in a run off Matt Cain in the 7th inning. An inning later, rookie Paul Goldschimdt tripled in two runs to take a 3-1 lead. JJ Putz then closed out the reigning World Champions as the Diamondbacks won their division for the 5th time in their 14 year history. Welcome to the playoffs, Anybody, Anytime.
