Austin Davis and the So. Miss Golden Eagles must be all smiles after knocking off the No. 6 team in the country on ESPN for the C-USA Championship, but the Eagles cost C-USA a ton of money by denying a non-BCS school from the Sugar Bowl. The game got off to a rough start as both offenses sputtered out of the gate, but the So. Miss offense woke up first and eventually ran the Cougs out of their own building. Case Keenum and Kevin Sumlin must have a bitter taste in their mouths after lengthy careers at Houston that did not end with the Sugar Bowl.
