Cats squeak by the Utes, 70-61

The Cats came into the game playing for a Pac 12 lead, but left the game holding their breaths. The Utes really gave them a scare as they started shooting lights out in the first half while the Cats were still trying to rub the sleep out of their eyes.After facing a 33-25 deficit at halftime, the Cats would slowly claw at the Utes lead by shooting treys. Brendan Lavender, Nick Johnson, and Kyle Fogg combined for a hot 11-22 beyond the arc. The Cats eventually would take the lead and hold onto it as a sigh of relief left the McKale Center.

Cats rout the Utes in Salt Lake, 77-51

The Ctas gave the Utah fans false hope for a while as the game was relatively close throughout the first half, but the Cats did what they should've done as they put up 44 second half points to rout Utah by 26. Four of the Arizona guards scored double figures, which was a good sign since the Pac 12 is determined by guard play. If the Cats can have consistent scoring from that position, they will have an advantage against other conference teams.

Cal beats ASU in Tempe, 47-38, ASU fails to make the PAC 12 championship game

Sofele, Anderson, and Maynard stomped the ASU defense and Dennis Erickson's last game in Tempe. Earlier today, Colorado upset Utah to eliminate ASU from the PAC 12 championship game race as UCLA will make the visit to Eugene. ASU had nothing to play for except the difference betweenthe Las Vegas Bowl and the Kraft Fight the Hunger Bowl and their pride on Senior night. They had no pride as they committed 11 penalties for 121 yards including a few personal fouls from Vontaze Burfict. ASU wrapped up their season with four losses to poorer teams and Erickson will definitely be dismissed after a promising start and an awful end.

Wildcats stood up by Utah at Homecoming, 34-21

The Cats looked to have a fresh start after a loss to the Huskies, but the Utes of Utah had other things in mind. Utah eliminated Arizona from bowl contention with an embarrassing 34-21 romp on homecoming. The Cats got off on the wrong note after they tried a fake FG on their first drive. The Utes would then block two punts, giving them good field positions which resulted in scores. The Cats could never catch up as they fell into a 17-7 halftime deficit and eventually a 13 point loss. Now that the Kraft Fight the Hunger Bowl is out of the picture, the Cats must set their sights on one objective: beating the Sun Devils.
