Seahawks rout the Rams on MNF, 30-13

Beast Mode feasted on the Skittles during the MNF game in this NFC West rivalry. Marshawn Lynch showed America that he is the heart and soul of the Seahawks offense while the rest of the team showed how bad and underachieving the St. Louis Rams are. The match-up was supposed to be the potential division champs against the former division champs, but the Seahawks are no pushover and potentially still alive for the wild card.

Beanie Wells!!! Cards run past the Rams, 23-20

Just look at this dude's arm! How is his nick-name Beanie when his arm is as big as a leg? The Cardinals neede every ounce of his strength to push past the Rams on Sunday as Skelton had another bad game and Fitz only caught three balls for 55 yards. Who need passing when you have a guy run for 228 yards? Beanie broke the frachise record for rush yards in a single game, formerly held by LeSean Johnson. Rush yards in a single game wasn't the only record met as rookie Patrick Peterson returned his fourth punt for a TD. He tied Devin Hester for the most punt return TDs in a single season, and he's only a rookie. The defense turned in another solid performance as they silenced Beanie's counterpart, Steven Jackson.

Cardinals snap losing streak, beat Rams 19-13 OT

Cards fans haven't had too much to cheer about this season. An opening win to the Panthers followed by six demoralizing losses isn't fun for any football team, but emotions ran high on Sunday as the Cardinals snapped their losing streak. After tying the game at 13 all, the Cardinals had chances to win the game in regulation, but they surrendered the ball to St. Louis. Sam Bradford led a drive to set up a 42-yard FG at the end of regulation, but Calais Campbell blocked the Josh Brown attempt and the game went to OT. The Rams had a short offensive series and punted the ball to Patrick Peterson. The rookie out of LSU would return the kick 99 yards for the walk-off win as Arizona moves to 3rd in the NFC West. There isn't much left for the team to do this season since the 49ers are 7-1, but Arizona can work towards the future and give a few more starts to John Skelton instead of an injured Kevin Kolb.

New York Giants top St. Louis, 28-16

After an undefeated preseason, the St. Louis Rams had two weeks in a row to prove Sam Bradford had playoff hopes in the gateway city. So far, they don't look like legitimate NFC contenders as they dropped to the Giants in the Meadowlands, 28-16. Coach Steve Spagnuolo, the former defensive coordinator for New York, could never get the ball moving efficiently against his former team. The run game was non-existent, partly due to the absence of All-pro RB Stephen Jackson, who left in week 1 against the Eagles due to a strained quadricep. Jackson should return as soon as possible, because St.Louis plays Baltimore, the upstart Redskins, at Green Bay, at Dallas, New Orleans, and at Arizona; all important games for St. Louis' playoff bid this season. On the other hand, Eli Manning was his old self: passing the ball for a meager 200 yards, throwing 2 TDs, and tossing a pick just to ruin his QB rating. The G-men managed to move the ball on St. Louis relatively well. They also had better defense than last week, which gives head coach Tom Coughlin some breathing room with the New York media and fan base for the rest of the week till they play at Philadelphia.
